--Unit 6 Meet my family第一课时
The lesson plan I’m gonging to talk about is from Unit6 of PEP primary English book 4A.Meet my family. This is period 2-Let’s talk and Let’s count. Now let me talk about it with the following 5 aspects:
Firstly, I’d like to analyze teaching material and learners. The main task for students is to talk about their family. Even though they have learnt the related words before, they may feel hard to talk about their family by newly learnt words and sentences. However Let’s talk and Let’s count offer good models to imitate. Only with enough input can we expect effective output, so enough practice to learn the sentences will be necessary. based on analysis above and New curriculum standard, I set the following 3 objectives:
1.Language and skills, By the end of the lesson, students will be better able to talk about their family by using the newly learnt words and sentences, for example: “How many people are there in your family?” and the answers,” My family has  people.”
2.Learning strategy. The students will learn to work in group summarizing what they have learnt under my instructions.
3.Emotional objective. The students will be happy to learn the language and get to know to introduce their family in English and love their family more.
Given the teaching material and students characteristic, I suppose the key points are the usage of newly learnt sentences, but students will find it is difficult to pronounce the word: little puppy and parents, and difficult to talk about their family by newly learnt sentences in real situation and daily life. So in order to achieve the 3 objectives, to emphasis the key points, to break through the difficult points. My teaching methods will be the task-based teaching methods, the TPR methods and CAI and so on. The students will be guided to use cooperative learning methods. During teaching process, I’ll use some teaching aids, such as: PPT, photo, video, blackboard, headwear, hand puppet and so on. Now Let me talk about the teaching procedures. 
Step 1. Warming-up and lead in
At the beginning of the lesson, I’ll design a free talk. For example: Hello, I’m Miss Luo. What’s your name? Nice to meet you!一个简单的自由对话既可以检验学生已有的知识储备水平,又可以迅速拉近与学生的距离。
After free talk, I’ll play an English song and ask students to sing it together.
在播放歌曲的同时邀请学生与我一起边唱边跳,一首轻松愉快的歌曲可以激发学生的兴趣,将学生迅速带入到英语学习的氛围当中。
Step 2. Revision 
After a finger song, I’ll show my fingers and ask students: ”How many fingers?”, and do some practices related the pattern “How many…” 看似顺势开展的how many…的对话,其实是唤起了学生们对于数字相关知识的回忆,为接下来的教学奠定了基础。
Step 3. Presentation and practice
Firstly, I’ll play a video to lead in today’s topic and key sentences.视频的主要内容是:带大家来参观我的家庭,介绍我的家人给大家认识。视频结束后,问学生是否还记得:“How many people are there in my family”当学生回答出正确答案时,顺势在黑板上出示”My family has       people.” 的句型,并分别说出家庭成员有哪些,再运用一张PPT来展示dad+ mum=parents,单独教授parents这个单词。此时再顺势唤起学生对grandpa,grandma,sister,brother等单词的记忆。然后问问学生“How many people are there in your family”,将该句型出示在黑板上,并引导学生以开火车的形式练习用“My family has   people.”来说说他们的家庭成员。
Then I’ll play the video of Let’s talk and ask students answer 2 questions:1.How many people are there in Chen Jie’s family? 2. How many people are there in Amy’s family? Check the answer and ask students to read after the text from Let’s talk.
Finally, I’ll lead students practice the part of Let’s talk with their partners and act it out after 2 minutes.
此部分运用了直观性教学法以及角色扮演的方法,生动而又形象的呈现了今天的主题句型,让学生们更容易接受,也提高了他们学习该句型的兴趣与动机。同时,让学生带着问题仔细听录音,一方面,让学生感受并模范纯正的发音,另一方面,让他们再次熟悉了今天的主题句型,培养他们分析问题解决问题的能力。
Step 3. Consolidation
Here I’ll ask students take out their family photos and make a new dialogue with their partners, then ask some groups to act it out. According to their performance, I’ll give them different awards
此环节运用了情景教学法,任务型教学法,让学生在良好的语言环境中,自主探究,自由对话,有效体现了师生互动向生生互动的转换,而面向全体学生及个别小组进行有意义的练习,也体现了新课标当中所倡导的:面向全体学生,突出学生主体,注重个体差异的新要求。
Step 4. Extension
Playing a video showing family=father and mother, I love you!
在这里运用一段感人的视频,让学生了解到父母的辛苦,这与情感目标相呼应,也体现了新课标的工具性与人文性相结合的特点。
Step 5. Homework
1. Showing love to our parents. For example, saying :”Mum, dad, I love you!”
2. Drawing a family picture, and describe it by word or sentences.


整堂课的教学设计环环相扣,运用了多种教学策略,使得教学过程更加顺利。但当中仍然存在许多不足:

许多老师会问我:“你这堂课设计了几个游戏?都是什么样的游戏?有趣吗?”。当然我赞同兴趣是学生最好的老师这一说法,因为只有学生对学习产生浓厚的兴趣才会专心听讲积极思考,但单靠唱歌游戏并不能培养学生持久的兴趣。新鲜劲儿一过,孩子们就会厌倦。所以,我认为不应当过分注重兴趣的培养而忽视了语言的学习。一节课有意义的操练是必然且必须的!

本课“How many...are there in your family”,”My family has...people.”的句型是重点,在此巧妙的设计了多个环节引出主题,并把时间交还给学生,让他们自由操练,从而进一步巩固!我认为是非常重要的。但本节课由于过多的时间用于操练重点句型,而忽略了难点句型“but that’s only...”的操练,这也是我今后需要特别注意的问题。
小学英语教学应注重文化意识。跨文化交际意识的培养,是英语教学的一个重要组成部分。在小学英语的教学中,很多小学英语教师忽视了文化对语言的影响。本节课应该涉及到的文化意识不只一个。而我在设计本课时,充分的表明了要热爱家人的情感意识,而忽略了对外国家庭非常热爱自己的宠物,甚至于把宠物也当作是自己的家人这样一种文化的宣扬。
总而言之,我认为,这堂课并未做到尽善尽美,有亮点也有缺陷,但正是因为这样的瑕疵,促使我不断的反习,改进,作为一个新老师,我要多学习书上的理论知识,还需要向更多有经验的老师取经。
