我在一堂示范课上设计了如下五个教学环节:
第一步:Self-introduction(自我介绍)。
在这个环节中,请一部分同学进行自我介绍。介绍的内容主要包括两个部分:自己的情况和性格,以及自己最好的朋友的情况和性格。可以由老师先做个示范:
My name is ..., and I am a student
in.... I was born in a small village, so I am a bit too shy. So I like to sit
alone and read some books when I am free.I don't talk too much with others, and
I don't do sports very often. But I think I am helpful, because I like to
help others. My best friend is .... He is from a big city, and he is very
outgoing. He is very friendly and likes to talks with others, especially about
sports, and he often plays football with his classmates.
这个环节一个作用是热身,另一个作用是为接下来的教学活动打好基础,做好铺垫。同时也是关注学生情感的体现,在彼此的介绍中,增进了解和友谊。老师先从自我介绍做起,也可以营造民主宽松的学习氛围。
第二步:Free talk.(自由交谈)。
在这个环节中,同学们就自己和最好的朋友进行问答。在第一个环节中,自我介绍是请班上一些比较好的同学来进行,以起到示范的作用。这个环节则是面向全体学生的体现。这个话题也是比较贴近学生生活的,通过自由交谈,可以通过实践,真正做到学以致用。
第三步:Investigation.(调查)
全班同学分成四个大组,分别对全班同学进行调查。调查内容如下:
1. Is your friend quite different
from you, or do you share nearly the same characteristis with you?
2. Do you have any problems with your
friend?
3. What are the advantages and
disadvantages of having a friend with similar (different) characteristics?
4. Do you prefer friends with simliar
or different characteristics?
这个环节,进一步面向全体学生,培养同学们的情商,增强同学们团队合作的意识和能力。
第四步:Discuss in groups. (分组讨论)
在第三步分组调查的基础上,对分组调查的结果进行归纳讨论。形成调查报告。
1. How many stuedents prefer to have
friends with similar(different) characteristics.
2. Problems of having a friend with
simliar(different) characteristics.
3. Advantages and disadvantages of
having a friend with similiar(different) characteristics.
各组推选一名代表向全班同学报告。
第五步:Writing.(写作)。在前面环节的基础上,结合自己的实际情况,写出自己的观点。对于一些基础不是很好的同学来说,有了前面环节的铺垫,也可以相对轻松一点完成任务,表达自己的思想和情感,进一步提高自己的综合语言运用能力。同时,也是指导同学们向周围的同学学习,在实践中学习的学习策略。
