    第一次研修作业要求:老师们结合本工作坊的研修主题,提交一节“初建课”。

    提交内容:教学设计、课件、PPT、课堂实录(片断)等;(备注:课堂实录非必提交项)

    提交格式:在“第一次研修作业”处提交,标题需设置为【初建课】+姓名/项目县/学校。例:【初建课】张三潢川县一小

    分数说明:提交得5分,被批阅为“优秀”加5分,被批阅为“良好”加3分,被批阅为“合格”加1分,被批阅为“不合格”不加分,未提交不得分。满分10分。

In this section ,we will learn 1a and 2a .

In this section , the passage introduces the advantages and disadvantages of the internet ,and we will review the structure “Subject+Vt.+Object+Object ComplementAt the same time ,teachers should ask students to read this passage quickly and understand the main idea about this passage .By learning this passage ,students should have a comprehensive view about things .when learn this passage ,students should conjecture the meaning of new words in English and find out the details about this passage .

1.students can spell those new words according to the phonetic symbolcorrect, safely, true, perfect, cheat, search

Step 1 :Introduction (6 minutes)

Teacher activity: 1. Show a short movie about  different people using the Internet in different ways. Such as a little boy is playing games on the Internet day and night. Another boy is studying English on the Internet.

Student activity: 1. Students enjoy the short movie. Understand Every coin has two sides.

Teacher activity: 2. Show the questions in 1a to students. Then ask students to discuss these questions in groups.

Student activity: 2. Students discuss the questions and the short movie, then answer the first question.

Teacher activity:3. Invite students to answer question 1 and 2.

Student activity: 3. Students give their different answers according to their own ideas.

Teacher activity: 4. Invite more students to share their answers of question 3  How can you use the Internet to learn English after class?

Student activity: 4. Volunteers answer the question with different answers. Other students show their own opinion by saying I am sure it is a good way for English learning. I am not sure if ...

Teacher activity: 5. Teacher summarizes the good ideas of English learning.E.g. Watching English movies after finishing  homework.Searching some good ways to remember new words.

Student activity: 5. Students choose the good ways that fit for them.

Step2 : Presentation (10 minutes)

Teacher activity:1. Finish 1a.

Ask students to read 1a, then get the main idea of the passage and underline the new words: change, side, true, perfect.

Student activity:1. Students read 1a. The first and last paragraphs can help them find the main idea of the passage. Underline the new words.

Teacher activity:2. Finish 1b. Show 1b to students and give them 2 minutes to finish 1b.

Student activity:2. Students find the new words in passages and guess the meanings in the sentences

Teacher activity:3. Advise students to change the words into their meanings in the passage. Ask students to check whether their answers are right or wrong.

Student activity:3. Students check their answers by changing the new words into their meanings. Then check the answers in groups.

Teacher activity:4. Teach the new words.

Student activity:4. Students read the new words after the tape. Pay attention to the pronunciation.

Teacher activity:5. Give students 2 minutes to read the passage again. And then ask students to give it a good title.

Teacher activity:6. Show 1d to students. Then ask students to read 1a carefully and fill in the table.

Step3 : Consolidation (10 minutes)

 Teacher activity:1. Invite some students to share their answers with their classmates.

 Student activity:1. Students share their answers with their classmates and all the answers can be found in the passage.

Teacher activity:2. Debate: Teacher divides the class into two parts. Part one aims to find the advantages of the Internet, while part 2 aims to find the disadvantages of the Internet.

Student activity:2. Students discuss in groups. They should look the information up in the textbooks and the notebooks.

Teacher activity:3. Organize a debate meeting. Draw smiling faces on the    blackboard when students give their ideas.

Student activity:3. Students stand up one by one, showing their ideas and sitting down. Each student has 2 minutes to express their ideas once. They should debate actively.

E.g.Group A: I am sure the Internet can bring us convenience. We can do some shopping without leaving the room.

Group B: I am not sure if your words are true. More and more people buy things on the Internet. But we cant see the goods directly. Sometimes they are not good.

Teacher activity:4. Teacher summarizes the debate meeting.  Then show the idea : Every coin has two sides. After the debating we know how to use the Internet correctly now.

Student activity:4. Students discuss in groups and know they should use the Internet correctly from now on.

Step3 : Practice (10 minutes)

Teacher activity:1. Finish 2a. Show the questions in 2a.  Ask students to work in pairs.

Student activity:1. Students work in pairs. Ask and answer the questions.

Teacher activity:2. Ask students to make a dialogue with the help of the five questions. Remind students to pay attention to the fifth question: Are you sure the Internet is good for us?

Student activity:2. Students make a dialogue. Learn the general question form be sure.

Teacher activity:3. Invite students to practice the dialogue in class. Remind students to pay attention to the tone.

Student activity:3. Students practice the dialogue.

Teacher activity:4. Finish 2b.

 Ask students to write a short passage based on the result of the interview in 2a.

Student activity:4. Students fill in the   blanks in 2b with the help of 2a.

Teacher activity:5. The teacher invites students to show their works. Make sure everyone knows the rules.

Student activity:5. Three students from one group come to the platform. Two students of them make a dialogue based on the information in 2a. The third student reports a passage based on their dialogue.

Teacher activity:6. Invite another group to show their works. Remind students: After an interview, you often need to write down the information in the form of a passage. Doing this can help you remember the information you interviewed.

Step4 : Production (8 minutes)

Teacher activity:1. Make a survey.Teacher says: After studying the advantages and disadvantages of the Internet, what should you do from now on?Teacher shows 2a to students again but changes the present tense into the future tense.

Student activity:1. Students practice in groups. Students know they should use the Internet in the right way.

Teacher activity:2. Teacher invites students to show their dialogues, and educates students not to waste too much time on the Internet.

Student activity:2. Students perform their dialogues in pair.

Teacher activity:3. Teacher summarizes the key points:

      (1) Words: perfect, true, cheat, safely, correct, search

(2) Grammar : be sure that Are you sure the Internet is good for us?

(3) Functions: subject+Vt.+Object+Object complement

The Internet makes our lives easier and more interesting.

Student activity:3. Students read the new words together and spell them at the same time. Review the Grammar and Functions.

Teacher activity:4. Homework:

The homework includes three parts: ask students to

   (1) search for information of the advantages and disadvantages of the Internet.

(2) Imitate 1a to write a passage about the advantages and the disadvantages of TV.

     (3) Review Sections A-C and prepare for Section D.

Student activity:4. Students finish these homework after class. Review Sections A-C to prepare for Section D.

Step5: Teaching Reflection

    This topic is closely related the students life. They like this topic and have many new ideas. They also like the debating. There are four new words in this passage. And some students can get the correct meaning with the help of 1b. So this part is easy for them to understand. Students are happy in this class.
