Unit10  If you go to the party, you’ll have a great time .

Lesson1 (Section A 1a-1c)

教学目标:

1 知识目标:正确运用if 引导的条件状语从句

2 能力目标:能用if 引导的条件状语从句作出假设,用will谈论结果。

3 情感目标:本课时围绕party展开话题,贴近学生生活,符合他们热爱休闲的心理,可以提高他们学习英语的兴趣,积极参与英语实践活动。

教学重点、难点:

重点句型:

—I think I’m going to go to the party with Karen and Ann.

—If you do, you’ll have a great time.

正确使用if 引导的条件状语从句

教学策略和方法:

通过pair workgroup work,鼓励学生对if引出的结果进行推测。

教学过程:

Step 1 Warming up and Leading in

1. Enjoy an English song : If you are happy

2. Ask some questions.

If you are happy, what will you do?

If I am happy, I will smile.

If you become sad, what will you do?

If I become sad, I will cry...

(在轻松的英语歌曲中进入课堂,让学生进入愉快的身心准备状态,同时为引出新课作好铺垫。)

Step 2. Presentation

1Show some pictures to present new structure: Ask several students:

What will you do if you see a wallet on the floor?

If I see a wallet on the floor, I will give it to my teacher.

What will you do if you have much money ?

Practice with the students .

(利用丰富的图片引出重点句型,既生动形象,又利于学生接受。)

2Show some situations to the students , discuss in pairs :what will happen? Then ask some students about the consequences.

(进行pair work活动,训练学生对句型的反应。)

Step3  Presentation and Practice

This Sunday our school will organize a party. What will happen if you go to the party? Discuss with the students.

If I go to the party , I’ll have a good time

Step4  Practice

(1)Show the pictures of Section A , ask the students to predict the consequences. Talk about the pictures

(以预测的形式引入文本,活跃课堂气氛,激发学生的兴趣。)

1a Look at the pictures. Then match the statements with responses.

the answers

(在口语练习的基础上,进一步进行听的训练,这样学生对新的语言结构掌握更容易一些了)

Step 5 Discussion

You have two choices .Discuss with your partner what you will like to be in the future. Why? and if you do so, what will happen?

(创设真实的情景,使学生将所学的语言结构应用到生活实际中,培养他们运用英语知识进行交际的能力。达到了学中用,用中学的目的。)

Step 6 Group work

Write a story in groups . The first person begins the story with the words “ I think I am going to ...” the other people in the group add sentences with the word “if”. Pass the paper around the circle. Then a group member stand up and read the story to the whole class at last.

(这是个要求比较高的活动,可以锻炼学生的反应能力和用英语思维的能力,给予学生学习的乐趣。不同的形式以及语言知识由易渐难的积累,使学生体验到了成功,增强了他们学习的信心。同时也锻炼他们合作学习和总结归纳的能力。)
