Unit9 I like music that I can dance to 

第一课时

Section A(1a-1c)

     本单元教学以音乐为话题,主要应掌握定语从句的简单用法。让学生们学会用定语从句来表达喜好。

.Teaching Aims and Demands

1.知识目标:掌握本课的已学习大纲词汇和thatwho引导的定语从句的简单用法。

2.能力目标:1)能听懂喜欢什么种类的音乐的话题的有关的简单会话。

2)能用定语从句造简单的句子。

3.情感目标: 让学生们懂得去欣赏美好的音乐。

Step. Induction

     (1) Show some pictures and get students to identify person. 

(2) Get students to talk about something they like.

(3) Lead-in The attributive clauses and do some exercises.

Step.Warming-up

1. 教师与学生谈论天气。
Teacher:What kind of weather do you like?
Student:I like sunny days.
Teacher:I like weather that is sunny,too.
  板书:I like weather that is sunny, too.
2.教师问另外的学生,引导学生以I like weather that is warm/cool…句型进行练习。
3.展示多姿多彩的时装和各种不同的菜式的图片,和学生谈论衣服、食物等。运用句型:
  What kind of clothes do you like? I like clothes that are comfortable/soft/not expensive.
  说明:以旧带新,引入新课,通过对学生的逐一操练,让学生在轻松的环境中接受新知识——that引导的定语从句。

Step Presentation (1a)

 1.播放学生熟悉的带有歌词的流行歌曲,用一首悠扬抒情的音乐和一曲热情奔放的音乐,引出新词lyricsgentleenergy
  利用媒体资源中课件中的内容,让学生学习新词。
 2.让学生交流他们对一些歌曲的看法。运用黑板上的句型:
  板书:
  What kind of music do you like?
  I like music that is gentle.
  I like music that I can dance to.
  I like music that I can sing along with.
  I like music that has great lyrics.
  3A survey让每组每个学生分别问其他5个学生关于音乐的爱好,然后写他们所说的句子,如:Mary like music that she can sing along with,再得出结论,最后全班同学的结果展示给大家。
  说明:通过在不同的环节根据学生自己对生活经验和自己的兴趣爱好入手,设计不用的任务,循序渐进,将语法教学巧妙结合在任务型教学中。
  Step. Listening (1b)

   利用学习指导中中学英语人教课标版9年级课后提高中的多媒体课件中的Section A-1b进行下列教学活动。
    明白听力任务,再让学生听对话,按要求完成1b,由学生做答案,教师检查学生答案。
  再播放一遍录音,学生跟读。
  说明:训练学生的听选信息的能力,再让学生跟读,培养语流和语调。
 Step V Practice (1c)
  (1)操练(Practice) l c小组练习(Group work)
   根据所听到的对话,模仿练习。
  (2)拓展(Extension)
Teacher: What kind of music do you like better, music that has great lyrics or music that you can dance to ?
Student: I like music that I can dance to.
Teacher: You mean I prefer music that I can dance to.  
板书引出本课重词汇:prefer
  3.展示一些有人物的图片:比如班上同学集体活动时的照片,或者是某部电影中的剧照等。让学生练习句型The man/woman who is
  例如,展示自己的有浓郁生活气息的一张家庭生活照,将以下句子呈现给学生:
  Teacher: The man who is standing by my side is my husband.The girl who has big smile is my daughter. 
 让学生看其他图片练习句型。
  说明:通过句子,让学生归纳、比较thatwho引导的定语从句,培养自己观察能力。也为下一步的听力理解打好基础。
Step. Conclusion

     1.The new words and expressions :

prefer, lyrics, gentle, sing along with, dance to.

2. Target language:

I like music that I can sing along with.  I prefer music that has great lyrics.

3.Grammar:

the attributive clause with “that”, “who”.
