教学目标

知识与技能

1.Master the key words and sentences:

(1)Key words:license,safety,part-time,pierce,earring,flash

(2)Sentences:I don't think sixteen-year-olds should be allowed to drive.I agree.They aren't serious enough.

2.Be able to talk about agreement and disagreement using the target language.

3.Train student's listening skill and communicative competence.

过程与方法

1.Learn the new words through word cards and conversation.

2.learn the structure "should/shouldn't be allowed to do sth."through listening and speaking practice.

情感、态度与价值观

1.Students should do what they are allowed to do and avoid doing what they aren't allowed to do.

2.Encourage students to express their opinions.

Step1Warm-up

T:What do you usually do after school? Do your parents allow you to ...?

Let the students answer.

Strp2Presentation

1.Activity 1a

(1)Learn the new words .

(2)Ask the students to read the statements in 1a.Circle A for agree or D for disgree.

2.activities 1b---1c

(1)Read the instructions and get students to look at statements.

(2)Play the tape.Students listen carefully and circle T or F .

(3)Check the answers.

(4)Call students' attention to the sample conversation in 1c.Have students read the sampie conversation and work in pairs and make new conversations.

(5)Ask some pairs of students to act out their conversations to the class.

Step3Practice

1.Teach activities 2a ,2b.

(1)Read the instructions .Ask students to read the statements in the chart.

(2)Play the tape .The first time,students only listen,the second time,students listen and check what Molly thinks and Kathy's opinions.

(3)Read the instructures in 2b .Call students’ attention to the sentences in the box and read them out.Then play the same tape, ask students to number the order as repuired.Then check the answers.

2.Teach activity 2c

Ask students to complete the sample conversation in 2c in pairs and then act out to the class using the information learned before.

Step4:Consolidation

Teach activity 2d

First,ask students to read the conversation silently to get the main idea.

Then lead students to read it sentence by sentence, explain some language points at the same time.

After that,ask students to prasctice role-playing the conversation in pairs.

Finally,invite several pairs to perform for the whole class.

Step5:Summary

In this period ,we’ve mainly learned a new structure”should/shouldn’t be allowed to do sth.” Through some listening and speaking practice.And we also develop our listening and speaking skill.

Step6:Homework

1.Talk about what should be allowed to do or should not be allowed to do in school or your family.

2.Pratice reading the conversation in activity 2d.
