一、整体设计思路
本课时是北师大版英语必修模块四(Module4)中的Unit10 Money的第二课时(Lesson2 The Right Price)。此课时的设计是通过一个讨论如何购物的访谈节目,让学生了解并谈论如何采购、讨价还价、买卖商品,进而将所学知识运用到日常的生活当中。本课时教学内容包括:Words and Phrases的学习;Listening Practice和Speaking Practice (Roleplay),是一节典型的听说课。在课堂中,将听力音频分段切割,以便更有目的性地进行听力训练。
二、教学目标
1. Knowledge Objectives::
(1)To learn and master the new words and expressions in this lesson.
(2)To practice the language of shopping and bargaining.
2. Ability Objectives:
(1)To use proper communicative language related to shopping and bargaining to sell or buy goods.
(2)To practice intensive listening skills.
3. Emotional and Moral Objectives:
(1)To know how to trade and bargain in foreign countries.
(2)To realize the necessity and beauty of bargaining when buying goods.
三、教学重点和难点
1.Teaching Important Points: learn new words and expressions; listen for key information; learn how to bargain.
2.Teaching Difficulty: How to help students master the new words and expressions as well as the skills of bargaining within limited time.
四、教学过程
Step Ⅰ Warm-up
Questions: Do you like to go shopping? Why? Where do you like to go shopping? Are you good at bargaining?
Step Ⅱ Pre-listening
1. Learn some key words and expressions to get prepared for the listening task.
2. Guess the price of some objects (objects on page 10 and some other objects at hand).
Step Ⅲ While-listening
Task1. Listen to Part 1 of an interview with Helen Cooper and answer the questions in Exercise 4.
1. Which of the following do most British people bargain for?
a) houses b) groceries c) clothes d) cars
2. Where does Helen say you can’t bargain?
a) supermarket b) shops c) markets
3. Which things in the photos would Helen bargain for?
Task2. Listen to Part 2 of the interview. Choose the strategies Helen use when she bargains.
a) She is friendly but firm.
b) She is confident but not aggressive.
c) She only says bad things about the product.
d) She is not ashamed to say she has not got much money.
e) If the person says “no”, she is annoyed.
Task3. Listen to Helen in the market and fill in the blanks in the Function File.
