Objects

To build up an area of vocabulary associated with Christmas.

To develop reading strategies to answer multiple-choice questions.

To talk about childhood memories.

Step1 Lead-in

Describe Christmas briefly and ask the students to guess what festival it is.

Step2 Make a list of objects related to Christmas

Show the students some pictures of objects related to Christmas.

Father Christmas, reindeer, sledge, balloon, candy/sweets, Christmas tree, decoration, Christmas cake, Christmas pudding, turkey, Christmas stockings, gift, carol service, Christmas carols, calendar, snowman

Step3 What can we do at Christmas?( Activities related to Christmas)
