lesson 3   My Favourite Comedy

Ⅰ：Teaching aims:

    1.Undersand some key words in context.

    2.Narrate how Mr.Bean behaves in the fancy restaurant.

    3.Make inferences of Mr.Bean's characteristics.

II：Teaching difficult Points:

    1.Reading ability and make inferences.

    2.There are a series of actions of Mr. Bean, which is kind of difficult for students to understand. As for this problem, I will show the students a short video to let students enjoy the comedy, which is of help for them to understand the action.

Ⅲ：Teaching procedures:

一：Before reading

Step 1

    The teacher shows some pictures, raises the question and introduces the topic. Students watch some pictures displayed and answer the questions on PPT.

Step 2

    Let students work in groups to discuss the question on the third slide and then lead lesson 3 in.

Step 3

    Let students do a comedy quiz together and learn some phrases.

二：While reading

Step 4

    Give students 3 mins to read paragraph 1and then complete the blanks.

Step5

    Give students 5 mins to skim the rest of the text and match the topics with paragraphs and then ask some students to choose right answers to the questions on PPT.

Step 6

    Read paragrah2 again and complete the table; Read paragraph 3, take down what Mr.Bean does.

三：After reading

Step 7

    Let students answer three questions according to the text,by which students practice making inferences.

Step 8

    Sum up and homework.

Step 9

    Let students appreciate a short vedio about Mr.Bean in fancy restaurant to help students understand the passage better.
