Step 1. Lead-in

T shows Ss two short videos and Ss express their feelings after watching them.

Step 2. Pre-reading(Pair work)

Ss work in pairs and discuss the following questions:

1) What are the major differences between the work and study of today and of 20 years ago?

2) Why is life-long learning so important for people today?

Step 3. Skimming

Ss read the passage quickly to get the general idea and the author’s intention
