Ⅵ. Teaching procedures

Step 1  Review

1.Warm up. Let students do some activities. Everyone all stand up and follow the teacher.

2.The teacher made some word cards and then show them to the students, let students read them twice.

3. Show some pictures of people in need. Try to answer the question with “I think that …”

Step 2  Presentation

1.According to the pictures, let students answer some questions.

T: Good ideasKangkang and his friends also want to help him. What will they do? Listen to 1a carefully and then answer the following questions.

1. What will Jane do?

2. What will Maria do?

3. What will Kangkang do?

4. What will Michael do?

(Show the questions on the Bb or the screen)

S1: Jane will…

S2: Maria will…

S3: Kangkang will…

S4: Michael will…

2. Focus their attention on the screenlet students read Teaching aims together.

3. Ss questions s answer the four above with the help of the teacher and learn the new phrases: turn to, get in touch with, make a poster.

 

Step 3  Consolidation

1.Do 1b. Listen to the tape and help students check the answers. (The teacher asks the questions and the students give the answers.)

2. Ss read 1a and match the information. Then read the sentences aloud.

Give students some time to do by themselves and check the answers together.

3. Play the tape and let students read after the tape.

4. Give students some time to self-study.

First, everyone read the dialogs loudly and translate the meaning.  

Second, everyone point out the key words and phrases carefully.

Third, everyone find out the key points and difficult points and then read them loudly to the class.

Last, read 1a in groups and some groups act 1a out to the class.

5.Act 1a out. The teacher find some groups act 1a out to the class.

Step4  Consolidation

1.Check out what the students have learned.

First, find some students read the dialogs loudly and translate the meaning.  

Second, find some students point out the key words and phrases .

Third, find some students find out the key points and difficult points and then read them loudly to the class.

2.The teacher shows the key points and some phrases on the screen. The teacher explains them to the students.

3.Do some exercises. Show these three questions to the students and check the key points they have learned.

2.let students make a summary about they have learned. Then make a summary about the lesson we have learned.

Do workbook about section A

Preview the words and 1a in Section B.
