A. Teaching objectives
At the end of the class, students should be able to: 1. Knowledge objectives(知识目标): Read new words. Describe animals by using learned words and sentences.2. Step1 warm-up
The teacher performs the chant herself, and asks students to guess what the chant is talking about.
Step2 Presentation
Activity1
The teacher shows four pictures on PPT to present new words.
Activity2
One student acts what he hears from the teacher, others guess and say, using “It’s …!”
Step3 Practice
1.Pair work:
Ask students to work in pairs,using “Look at that… It’s …”
2. Team work:
Ask students to work in a team to find out how many animals their team can talk in 3 minutes.“Look at that … It’s …!”
Step4 Consolidation
1. A game: Who’s faster?
The teacher shows pictures quickly, two students who can describe it faster wins.
2.Listen and tick
The teacher says some sentences such as “It’s fat.” The students listen to the teacher, then tick and cross them.
3. Show a picture of cute dogs
The animals are so lovely. Please love them.
1.Read sentenses on page 25 with your parents
2.Write two sentences to describe your favorite animals, using “Look at that...” and “It’s...”.
