Section A Colors
Section A needs 1 periods.
The main activities are 1a and 2a.
I. Teaching Aims:
(1). Knowledge Aims
A: Learn and master the new words :

We have black hair and black eyes.
We don’t look the same, but we’re good friends.

A: Can talk about colors;
B: Can describe a person with colors.
(3). Emotional attitude and values
Let students feel the importance of colors, encourage students to find and enjoy the beauty of colors.
II. Teaching important and difficult points:
(1). Important points:The useful expressions about colors.
(2). Difficult points: Describe a person with colors.
III. Teaching Methods:
Teaching by illumination.
Teaching by group work.
Teaching by role playing.

Computer; multi-media; blackboard;colorful paper and things.
Ⅴ.Teaching Procedure:
Step 1. Warming up and lead in
Show several pictures about colors, stimulate the students’ interest in learning, lead in colors.
Step2. Presentation
1. Learn the new words according to the color songs and beautiful pictures.
2. Do the game of“Find the colors” ,consolidate the new words.
3. Show some colorful things. Lead in the useful expressions“ What color is it? It’s…”“What color are they? They’re…”
4. Two students work in pairs, ask and answer according to the pictures. Then make a presentation.
Step 3. Consolidation
1. Guide the important sentences according to the pictures.
2. Listen to the tape and answer the following questions.
3. Listen again and fill in the blanks in 1b.
4. Watch the flash and read after it.
5. Let students read 1a in roles.
Step 4 . Project
1. Two students work in pairs, finish one of the following tasks. Ask some students to make a presentation.
2. Four students work in groups, color one of the Running Man and describe him or her.
3. Watch some pictures, enhance the importance of colors and let students find and enjoy the beauty of nature.
Step 5. Summary
Summaries the words and phrases. Let students read them together.
Step 6. Exercises
Work in groups and finish the exercises on the test paper.
Step 7. Homework
1. Recite 1a.
2. Finish Section A in the work book.
3. Preview Section B.
