You can do it

Dear Sir,

  It’s a hard topic. I don’t know how to begin it. So I just wait until I have to do it.

  When I start my new lesson, I always show the importance and difficulty of the new lesson first, and then the goals they have to grasp. At last, I hope they will digest the key words besides the importance and the difficulty.

  I am used to asking them to work in pairs to solve the easy questions and try their best to find the topics they will learn. And then show their answers or results. Exactly, they can finish them easily. I feel happy.

  I always lead into the new topics by pictures or some songs. They know me very well. I ask them to say more words ,phrases or sentences as much as possible, although they make mistakes all the time. I allow that they can do it, because failure is the mother of success. And then I will analyze the sentence to solve their problems. And show their the new sentence pattern. I will make sentences with them together first and then they will make their own sentences. I f they make any mistakes, I will correct at once. And ask him or her to sit down and think for a while, I will give him or her chance again, so that they can digest the topics and be filled with confidence.

  When listening is coming, they are always afraid of it. Somebody even wants to sleep. They don’t know how to do this task. I always say to them,“You can do it! It’s a piece of cake. You only need to find the key words, not understand all the words. Try your best! Let’s go for it!”

  They try their best to finish this task. If I give them more “Great!”or “Big hands to them!”,they will feel much more excited. And they also have interest in studying English. As time goes by, they are good at speaking English and they can get good marks and make progress.

  But there is no more praises during the daily life. Maybe I am wrong. So I will add it up in my teaching life.
