作业标题 :阶段三:课堂教学视频截止日期 : 2016-12-31

作业要求 :

参训教师将《作业二:教学设计》的内容付之于课堂教学。教学的过程,请同伴帮忙录制(借助手机、DV、摄像机均可)10—40分钟的视频,只要是完整的教学片断都可以。

学情分析

This is the part of  the adverbial clauses , and the students have learnt some simple usage of it.

The students have

I. Teaching Aims :

1.The students will learn about the Adverbial Clauses- so that by watching a flash. 

2.They will know the usages of so that clauses.

3.During the class, they can do some multiple choices and translation 

II. Teaching Important and Difficult Points:

   1. Master the usages of the so that Clause 

2. How to judge the  so that clauses 

IV. Teaching Methods

1. The teacher’s explanation makes the student know the grammar more clearly. 

2. Task-oriented teaching method.

3. Individual work and group work to make Ss active in class.

V. Teaching Aids

   the multimedia; the blackboard

VI. Teaching procedures: 

Step 1:

 Show the students a flash about the usage of so that clauses, and try to get the students to judge the different usages.

Step 2:

 Summarize the differences in form , structure and meaning of so that clauses

从句有情态动词,主从句连接紧凑

目的

从句无情态动词,主从句间有逗号

结果

 

Step3:

List an example to draw the students’ attention to “so…that…” clause

Then lead to the exact meaning of “so…that…” clause

如此……以致于……

Step4:

In order to conclude the sentence patterns of “so … that…” clause, start with the characteristic of “so”.

Try to help the students draw the following sentence patterns while emphase the inserted pats between so and that.

So + 形容词/副词 + that…

 

so+ 形容词+a/an+单数可数名词 +that…

 

特殊句型:

so+ many() / few() +复数可数名词+that…

so+ much() /little() +不可数名词+that…

step5:

Present the sentence “So beautiful the scene is that I dare not have my eyes fixed on it.”.

Then get the student to focus on the inversion of this pattern.

so... that…结构中,若将so+adj. / adv. 置于句首,则其后的主句要用部分倒装。

Step6:

Ask the students to finish the exerciss in this part. Translate the following sentences

1.天太冷,我只能待在家。

2.他们吃得太多了,一个小时都动弹不得。

 

Suggested answers:

1. The weather was so cold that we had to stay at home.

The weather was so cold that we had to stay at home.

2.They ate so much that they could not move for the next hour.

So much did they eat that they could not move for the next hour.

 

Step7 Playing a Game

Get the students to try to describe their feelings at that time, using the sentence pattern learnt in that part.

Step8 closure

  Conclude the class with this sentence “Start with this lesson and repeat it during the course of your day, so that you may begin to move into a more positive situation.”
