Language points:

1. between是一个介词，常和and连用。构成短语between…and…，表示“在……和……之间”。

例如：I am between Tom and Lucy in the picture.

[探究] between主要指两者之间，其宾语往往是表示两者的名词或代词，或者是由and连接的两个人或物。

注意：among一般用于三者或三者以上，意为“在……之间”，其宾语通常是一个表示笼统数量或具有复数或集合意义的名词或代词。例如：

Those animals are among the trees.

[观察] In the middle of the school is a big playground.   学校中间是一个大操场。

[探究]  in the middle of 意为“在……的中间”，其近义短语是in the centre of。

[拓展] middle  常构成短语：middle school 中学。例如：

5. on one’s left/right

●Grammar:

   there be句型的用法：

      1）结构：there be +某物或某人+地点。

      2)there be 句型的否定句：在be后加not           

     3）there be 句型的一般疑问句：将be动词提前。

     4）there be 句型的肯定回答：Yes,there be. No,there be +not。

注意：1）there be 结构中的be 动词的形式遵循就近一致原则。

            2）there be 句中的量进行提问时用how many/how much。
