第二册:Unit 5 Traffic集体备课心得

 

教材简析:本单元围绕交通安全为话题,展示学生熟悉的各类交通图标,掌握它们的意思,学会看到图片能用英语表达出图标的含义及掌握必要的人身安全策略。

教学目标:掌握词汇:speed limit ;  no parking’ short term parking ; road closed; brake test area; slow down ; spread out 

 

掌握语法:情态动词的基本用法

重点句型:What kind of transporation do you usually use ?

Why do you take it ? 

How do you come to shool ?

What is the departure time?  How long does the flight take ?

What are the advantages of taking a plane?

 

备课内容:Teaching procedures of Lesson Fourteen

Step 1 Greetings

1.      Greeting the students

2.      Show a picture. Welcome to my class.

Step 2 Free talk

1.      Ask one student to give a three-minutes free talk

2.      Ask the Ss to talk about different kinds of traffic signs.

Step 3 Pre-reading

Ask the Ss to answer the two questions:

1.      What is the major factor in many accidents ?

2.      What can protect you if the car stops or changes direction suddenly ?

3.      Ss talk their experience about the accidents they saw or know.

Step 4Reading

Fast reading and answer the following questions

1.      What does the four pictures mean on page 56and page 57?

2.      What are the dangerous actions during driving?

Ask individual student to answer them and then check the answers together.

Words-study

1.      Show the pictures ,ask Ss what they mean

2.      Lead to read the new words

Post-reading

Decide whether the following statements are True or False according to the text.

  (1). In fine weather, driving too fast can decrease your chances of having an accident .(     )

  (2)Good brakes can increase your ability to control the vehicle in emergencies.        (     )

  (3) If the windshield is very clean, you can see the road ahead clearly.               (     )

  (4) It doesn’t matter whether we keep a distance from other vehicles   (     )

  (5)Before we cross the crossing, we must watch the traffic lights carefully.  (     )

(6) When the traffic light is yellow, the vehicles can go on.   (     )

(7). It is dangerous to talk on the phone while you are driving. (     )

(8). You mustn’t drink any alcohol before driving a car. (     )

Step 5 Disscusion

Ask the Ss to work in groups of four to discuss, then ask two pairs to give their opinions.

1.      As a driver, what should you do to avoid traffic accidents ?

2.      If we want to cross the crossing safely , what should we do ?

How do people usually deal with the birthday presents?

Step 6 Listen and read

Listen to the CD player, let the Ss read the passage after it aloud.

Step 7 Homework

1.  Remember the new words and phrases.

2.  Finish off the Wb exercises.

3.  Copy new words and phrases

 

研讨纪录:

孙明亚老师:为了调动学生的学习积极性,可以多展示些学生熟悉或喜爱的交通标识的图片,让每位学生都能开口说 。

王寅老师:  第1课时以导入主题为主,让学生从谈论自己的交通工具开始,引导学生运用恰当的词汇描述任务的品质特征。这个模块要加强对形容词的运用级能正确朗读含有不完全爆破的词汇及句子。

周雪梅老师: 对于这个单元的形容词的运用,我们可以从谈论身边同学、老师的交通工具入手。教师可以提供大量的形容词供学生选择,避免用来用去都是这几个词,又可以扩大学生的词汇积累。

杜伟峰老师:课后延伸中可以交学生用预测、略读、查读、细读的方法把握文章的大意和基本结构。

王慧勤老师: 这个单元的语法是情态动词。可以通过结合多个情态动词一起讲解,更具有理解性。课堂上以老师概况为主,书本练习为辅。课外以同步练加强巩固。

邬小华老师:图片教学直观,形象,这个方法很好,而且学生对路上的交通标识都比较熟悉。可以调动大家的积极性。可以让学生更牢固地掌握知识点。利用多媒体补充更多的交通安全图片让课文内容得于拓展和延伸,词汇还比较容易记住,学生能够理解,情态动词的运用还要放在具体的句型或语法题中要多分析,多强调。

心得:多开展集体备课研讨有助于提高自己的教学水平,改进教学方法,因为他山之石可以攻玉。
