读前活动
(一)视频导入
Watch a video about Antarctica.
T: What’s it about?
S1: It’s about Antarctica.
T: What do you know about Antarctica?
S2: It’s cold.
S3: Not many animals live there.
T: Why?
S4: It’s cold.
思考:从师生互动情况看,熊老师是采用了KWL的教学方法,首先通过提问了解学生对南极洲的已有认知。从学生回答情况来看,由于语言和知识的限制,能导出的主要关键词就是cold。
(二)标题导入

思考:由此老师引出fact和opinion,有些生硬。一些学生可能没有完全理解教师的意图。作为听众,我也有些不知所措。
个人想法:可让学生基于这些事实,提出自己对南极洲的困惑,也许学生会问Why don’t emperor penguins leave? 这也为下面的阅读活动做好铺垫。

思考:提问方式比较单一。

思考:教师的意图可能是为了形象地引出male 和female 这两个词汇,但是这里通过QQ来引出,脱离了文章,显得有些突兀。和下一步的阅读活动形成断裂感。

思考:最后一个问题能够升华到teamwork,是整节课的亮点。
整体反思:
新课程要求我们关注学科核心素养,它包括四个方面:语言能力、学习能力、文化品格和思维品质。传统的阅读教学基本模式:过多预设、没有思维、模式化、表层化、没有对意义的探究。关注学科核心素养,要求教师在进行教学设计时,融育人目标于教学内容和教学过程之中。反对割裂式的阅读教学,提倡整合课程内容。它提倡的英语学习活动观,要求从学生已知出发,以主题为引领,以语篇为依托,设计以解决问题为目的的相互关联的系列活动,实现对主题和语篇理解的提升和优化,形成对话题的结构性认知。要实现这一目标的根本,在于关注文本解读。
