一、反思教学内容

本单元话题是useful inventions,功能是talk about the history of inventions,语言结构是the passive voice of general past tense,我设计的线索是Chinese ancient inventionsmodern inventionssome useful little inventionsaccidental inventionsthe invention of basketball。本文从the history of basketballthe invention of basketball最后到the popularity of basketball,阅读策略是运用思维导图,主线清晰,策略得当,程度适中,词汇主要是:Canadian, divide---into---, stop---from---,dream of doing, not only---but also---, the number of, look up to 等第,应该说文本经改变后,可操作性更强了。

二、反思教学过程

本课时从谈论篮球常识What do you know about basketball?导入本文主旨;通过段落大意配对,呈现思维导图:the history of basketball the invention of basketballthe popularity of basketball;通过对错判断和填表处理文章细节;根据思维导图复述全文;最后通过What should you do if you want to be a basketball player? What are the good or bad things for being a professional basketball player? 来激发学生思维,提升文本思想内涵。应该说文本解读比较到位,教学主线清晰,教学步骤比较合理,阅读策略有所体现,目标语言也能够得到不断反复巩固。

三、反思教学效果

由于采用了导学案的教学方式,学生对查读shim and scan 这一块做得较好,但这仅仅是低层次的学习策略,一旦自由谈论,效果则很不理想:1、如What do you know about basketball? 学生的回答仅仅是I like it. I often play with my friend. It’s interesting. NBA.CBA 之类。2、又如What should you do if you want to be a basketball player? What are the good or bad things for being a professional basketball player? 学生的回答也只是We should work hard. We can be famous. We can make more money.等第,用词和句式结构都比较简单,更没有思维思想的东西。

四、教学改进措施

根据学生的实际情况,需要搭建更多的支架,帮助学生自由地表达观点:如What do you know about basketball? 可补充提问How many teams/players are there in a basketball game? How can you get scores when you play against the other team? What are the famous games in the USA/China? Who’s your favorite basketball player? 等。又如What should you do if you want to be a basketball player? What are the good or bad things for being a professional basketball player? 可采用合作学习模式先例举关键词:practice doing, spend time, pay money for, ask--- for help, watch TV programs, get in the way of study, run after famous stars 等第,然后再连词成句,这样学生的用词和句式会变得相对丰富,学生的综合语用能力才会得到提高。
