Objectives

1.To learn and understand the invention of tea.

2.To better understand the information about tea and Shen Nong.

Key structure

1. Did you know that tea was invented by accident?

2. It is said that Shen Nong was the first to discover tea as a drink.

3. Tea didn’t appear until around 1660, but in less than 100 years.

4. The Chinese are without doubt the ones who best understand the nature of tea.

What kind of drink do you know?问题导入本课的主要了解对象tea,通过what have you known about tea?这样的一个书面练习来复习unit5 Section A 2d的角色扮演对话中的有关茶的内容。接着what do you want to know more about tea?引入一个视频,让学生更多的了解有关茶的起源。围绕着这个视频的内容展现本课的教学内容,为课文阅读教学作好铺垫。通过茶的起源故事,把文章第一段的内容呈现给学生,并通过复述这故事来巩固所学内容。第二段、第三段的处理都是通过思维导图的方式帮助学生理清文章内容,再加以相应的辅助练习来巩固。在阅读中,通过3a,3b的两个活动进行阅读技巧的训练。

1.What kind of drink do you know?”

 ( Tea, coca cola, coffee, juice, water.)

2.Do you know the popularity of the drink? I mean which kind of drink is the most popular in the world? Which one is the second most popular?

 ( Water is the most popular drink in the world. Tea is the second most popular drink in the world. So we can say tea is the most popular drink in the world after water.)

 

导入部分,通过对饮料的讨论,引入到本课的了解对象:茶。同时适当的穿插词汇教学:popularity. 及课文内容:

 we can say tea is the most popular drink in the world after water. 这句话的呈现。

What we have learned about the tea?

We have learned something about tea in unit 5 section A 2d. Finish the following chart:

1.T:Do you want to know more about tea? Let’s enjoy a video and think about the following questions:

1). What is the video about?

2). Who discovered tea?

3). Who is the writer of Cha Jing?

2.T: The video is about the culture of tea and it tells us Shen Nong discovered tea and how he did . But today I have another story about how tea was invented. It is said that ...

(Tell Ss the stoty with the help of the the multimedia,and present the words and phrases in the passage in 3a)

3.Ask the ss to retell the story.

4.Finish the chart about tea according to the story.
