Step 1 Lead in
Show some photos of learning English, and ask students to choose their favourite ways. Add more ways on the blackboard. Then ask the students to talk about the ways in pairs. (详见素材一导入二)
Step 2 Prelistening
1.Teach words and phrases by showing cards.
2.Practise the sentence patterns, such as “Correct the spelling./Practise saying the words./Match the words with their meanings.” (详见素材四突破二)
Step 3 Listen and read
1.Look at the questions in Activity 2 first, then listen to the tape. (先仔细看问题,做到心中有数,再听材料。为以后的听力测试做准备。)(详见素材四突破一)
2.Let the students close their textbooks and listen to the tape of Activity 3 carefully, then write notes about learning English. (让学生养成边听边记笔记的好习惯。)
3.After listening, ask the students to report the notes they have written down. Then check with each other. Finally, have the students read the dialogue in pairs.
Step 4 Practice
According to the dialogue, ask the students to finish the exercises in Activity 3 and the short passage in Activity 4.Let the students pay attention to the key words(advice, agree, correct), phrases (as much as possible, on the radio) and sentences (…it is a good idea to…).(巩固对话中的重点词汇和句型。)(详见素材二活动二)
Step 5 Pronunciation
1.Point out the five important sentences of giving advice in Activity 5 and ask the students to listen to the tape. Pay attention to the intonation.
2.Work in pairs. Have the students talk about problems in learning English with their deskmates. Then ask some students to give advice. (详见素材四突破三)
